‘Warm Yellow’ is more than a painting of flowers – it is a celebration of the quiet beauty found in nature. The bright dandelions stand freely in the summer landscape, catching the sunlight and creating a feeling of warmth, strength, and simple joy.
The painting invites you to notice beauty where you might not normally look, and to appreciate the things that are often overlooked. Like the dandelion itself, it carries a quiet strength – growing where it finds its place and showing its beauty despite being called a weed.
This original artwork brings the feeling of summer, natural light, and resilience into your home.

Description
‘Warm Yellow’ is an original acrylic and oil pastel painting celebrating the beauty of the dandelion – a flower that is often overlooked, yet quietly carries its own strength and dignity.
The painting was inspired by the sight of bright yellow dandelions standing freely in the summer landscape, glowing in the sunlight. They seemed to catch the light from the sun itself, creating a beautiful meeting between flower and sunlight. Each flower simply grows where it feels at home, without asking for permission to belong there.
Dandelions are often described as weeds because we have decided that they do not belong where we want them. Yet they continue to grow. They push through, survive, and return again and again. There is something deeply beautiful about that quiet resilience – the ability to keep going while remaining exactly what you are.
The warm yellow flowers and soft green surroundings create a feeling of summer, warmth, and freedom. The layers of acrylic are combined with oil pastel to bring out the light and add texture and depth to the flowers and surrounding landscape. The different layers allow the light to remain present throughout the painting, giving the surface a gentle, luminous quality.
‘Catching Light – Warm Yellow’ is a reminder that beauty does not always need to be cultivated or carefully placed. Sometimes it simply grows where it finds the right conditions. It invites you to pause, look again, and perhaps notice the beauty in something you might otherwise have overlooked.
Created on canvasboard with acrylic and oil pastel, this original artwork brings warmth, natural light, and a quiet sense of resilience into your home.
