‘Fresh Air’ explores the feeling of being able to breathe freely and truly reconnect with yourself. Rather than depicting a specific place or telling one fixed story, the painting captures those small moments when life suddenly feels lighter — when you notice your surroundings, take a breath, and realise that you are completely present.
The green leaves represent hope, good fortune, and a growing belief that things will be okay. The birch trees hold the light from the bright sky, carrying it through the painting as a quiet reminder that the light is still there. They stand firmly in the landscape while allowing the light to pass through and continue onwards.
The painting invites you to imagine your own moments of freedom.
