The story behind the Artwork

A Story of Spring and Childhood.

Vera’s Joy was created from a deeply personal memory of early spring. When my daughters were little, they loved picking the first snowdrops they found in the forest. They proudly carried the tiny flowers home in their warm little hands.

By the time we arrived home, the delicate snowdrops had already faded. Even though they did not survive the journey, the memory stayed with me. Their excitement, curiosity and pure joy became the inspiration behind this original fineliner drawing.

Vera – Carrying Spring Forward

Vera represents the arrival of spring.

She walks barefoot, symbolising the transition from winter into a new season filled with hope and light. In her arms she carries an oversized bouquet of snowdrops – flowers that have long been a symbol of new beginnings and quiet resilience.
