Description
The beginning is an original acrylic painting inspired by the quiet beauty of a Scandinavian birch forest. Bright green foliage, slender white trunks and warm golden light create a sense of freshness, openess and possibility.
There is something about the beginning of a new path that carries a particular kind of hope. You do not yet know exactly where it will lead, but everything feels open. The light is warm, the forest feels alive, and there is space to simply step forward and see what lies ahead.
I wanted The Beginning to hold that feeling – the quiet moment before something new unfolds. The warm light beyond the trees creates a natural sense of direction, while the layers of foliage ans slender birch trunks draw you deeper into the landscape.
The painting is built in multiple layers of acrylic paint, mith subtle textures, variations of green and delicate transitions between light and shadow. The golden light becomes an important part of the composition, creating warmth against the fresh greens and allowing different details to emerge as you spend time with the painting.
For me, The Beginning is not about entering a forest. It is about that felling of standing at the start of something new – when the way ahead is not yet known, but there is a quiet sense that something good may be waiting beyond the trees.
Perhaps that is what I wanted the painting to hold: the feeling that a new beginning does not have to be loud. Sometimes it simply arrives as light, space and the courage to take the first step.
